Overview

What Is a CRS Protection Plan?

CRS Protection Plans bundle the year-round services every New Jersey roof needs into one annual rate that costs less than paying for each service separately. Plans are available on CRS-installed and CRS-repaired roofs. Plans include documented annual inspections, photo records, priority storm response, gutter cleaning, member discounts, and warranty protection.

When You Should Consider a Roof Protection Plan in NJ

  • You just had a new roof installed.

Protection Plans bundle valuable roof services for far less than paying for them separately. It is a simple way to protect your investment and avoid worrying about roof maintenance year after year.

  • You restored or repaired your roof and want extended warranty and repair credits.

Restoration plans extend the CRS workmanship and materials warranty on every repair performed under the plan. They also include an annual minor repair credit applied automatically toward small-scope work: shingle patching, flashing re-seal, caulking, minor gutter repairs. The warranty stays active only while the plan stays continuously enrolled.

  • You want priority service after storms.

Plan members are scheduled first after a major storm event, with a goal of contact and scheduling within 48 hours. Higher-tier plans include a complimentary storm damage assessment after sudden major damage, with photo documentation and a written report formatted for your insurance carrier.

  • You want documented annual care for resale, insurance, or long-term ownership.

All inspection reports and photographs are delivered to you as a digital report after each visit and retained in CRS records for the term of the plan. Copies are available on request for insurance claims, reserve fund studies, and resale. Higher-tier plans transfer to the new owner at closing, and premium plans include a formal transferability letter for the closing packet.

How a CRS Protection Plan Works

  • Inspection and Plan Matching

A licensed CRS roofer measures your roof, walks every slope, and confirms which plan fits your situation. New roofs, restored or repaired roofs, and community associations each have their own plan type with multiple tiers. The plan recommendation comes in writing.

  • Enrollment

You review the plan terms, pick a tier, and sign. Plans are annual commitments and renew automatically each year unless you cancel with at least 30 days written notice. NJ law gives you three business days to cancel without penalty after signing.

  • Annual Scheduled Service

CRS schedules your inspection and service visits using route-based scheduling, with service windows communicated at least 14 days in advance. Service visits include the documented inspection and any additional plan-specific services such as gutter cleaning and repair-credit work on restoration plans.

  • Documented Inspection and Photo Report

A licensed roofer walks every slope, checks every flashing detail, inspects gutters and drainage, and documents the inspection with photos. You receive a digital report with photos after each visit. CRS retains a copy on file for the term of the plan.

  • Priority Storm Response, Member Benefits, and Renewal Lock

Plan members go to the front of the queue after storm events. Members also receive a discount on any non-covered service work, can earn referral rewards on referred jobs, and after three consecutive years of enrollment the annual rate is discounted and locked permanently for the life of the plan.

Every CRS Project, Start to Finish

  • Professional Inspection

A licensed CRS roofer checks every slope, flashing detail, and accessible attic area. We show you photos of what we found and give you our honest recommendation. There's no obligation to move forward if work isn't needed.

  • Clear Scope and Schedule

If you choose to move forward, you get a clear scope of work, a project schedule, and the price in writing before any work begins. If we find something that changes the job, we stop and get your written approval before continuing.

  • Installation and Cleanup

Our crew installs your roof to manufacturer specifications, protects your landscaping during the job, and leaves the site clean each day. You'll know what's happening at every stage before it happens.

  • Final Walkthrough

Before we leave, a CRS team member walks the property with you, confirms every detail meets our standard, and reviews the work in person. You receive your project packet and workmanship guarantee. If anything isn't right, we make it right before we go.

Common questions

Protection Plans FAQs

What does a CRS Protection Plan include?

Protection Plans include annual roof inspections, photo documentation, gutter cleaning, priority storm response, and discounted service pricing. Higher-tier plans may also include roof washing, transferable coverage, storm damage assessments, and extended repair warranty protection. Plan features are matched to your roof after inspection.

Who is eligible for a CRS Protection Plan?

Plans are available to homeowners with CRS-installed roofs, homeowners with roofs CRS has restored or repaired, and community associations across New Jersey. Roofs in active failure (active interior leak or visible structural damage) must be repaired by CRS first before plan enrollment is available.

How much does a CRS Protection Plan cost?

Annual pricing is set per square foot of measured roof surface and matched to the plan tier that fits your roof. CRS provides a written quote after the inspection. After three consecutive years of uninterrupted enrollment, the rate is discounted and locked permanently for the life of the plan.

Does the plan transfer to a new owner if I sell my home?

Higher-tier residential plans transfer to the new owner at closing, and premium plans include a formal transferability letter for the closing packet. Both the current and new owner must notify CRS in writing within 30 days of the closing date for the transfer to take effect. A re-inspection may be required.

Do plan members earn referral rewards?

Yes. Active plan members earn service credits each time a referred client completes a paid CRS job, with a larger milestone reward at the fifth successful referral. Credits extend your plan term rather than reducing the annual payment. Full reward details and current credit amounts are provided in writing at enrollment.
