Yes. CRS is licensed under the NJ Home Improvement Contractor Act. You can verify our HIC number through the NJ Division of Consumer Affairs at njconsumeraffairs.gov before signing any contract. We are fully insured and provide proof of insurance and a certificate of liability before work starts on your home.
Do you pull permits for roofing work?
Only when the job needs one. For a standard shingle replacement on a one- or two-family home, New Jersey does not require a permit; since 2018 the state treats re-roofing as ordinary maintenance (N.J.A.C. 5:23-2.7). Permits do apply to structural deck work, new solar, and condo or multi-family buildings. When your job requires a permit, we pull it and coordinate the inspection.
Who actually does the work on my roof?
Your roof is installed by experienced CRS crews held to the same written standard on every job. We do not hand your project to whoever is cheapest that week. A CRS field supervisor is on site to oversee the work from the first tear-off through the final walkthrough, and every installation comes with a written workmanship guarantee.
What is the workmanship guarantee?
Our workmanship guarantee is a written commitment that if any part of your roof fails because of how it was installed, not a material defect, CRS returns and fixes it at no charge within the guarantee window. Manufacturer defects route through the shingle manufacturer’s warranty. Ask for both documents before we start.
